Robert Morrison promotes The New Challis House as a first class hotel in Challis Idaho offering prompt meals and reliable lodging. Located one door west of the telephone office the establishment provides board lodging and sample rooms aimed at traveling men and the public with reasonable rates and top market meals.
City Bakery offers fresh bread pies cakes and delicious ice cream with lunch options. Mary G Dorcan proprietor invites customers to call for orders and inquiries.
Bascom House offers a lodging stop before mountain passes on the Mackay to Salmon River Valleys route. The establishment markets itself as a bust travel ers home with reasonable terms. E. W. Bascom, proprietor.
Oster and family depart for Custer. Wood River wool clip hits 600000 pounds. Challis Messenger notes new cylinder press, local weddings, dam surveys, June 1904 commencements, and plans for Fourth of July celebrations. Prominent Idaho Democrats favor Dubois for VP. salmon and Mackay set to celebrate on July 4.
A letter from Custer Idaho dated June 2 reports J A Caizek returning from Loon creek to Custer. His pack-train moved to the Lost Packer mine and back to Jordan creek, with minimal snow along the way. Trails from Loon creek to Marble creek have been clear for six weeks and grass is abundant, and the informant complains outsiders are not properly advised of the short route to Thunder Mountain.
