The district identifies witnesses to prove irrigation and reclamation of the land as required. The Yank ee Fork area remains visible though the river is hidden by ice. The winter is cold at night and mild by day with little snowfall and fair sledding conditions. Freight on wheels is common. Loon creek and Custer road have plenty of snow to the summit where transfer to wheels occurs. The Lost Packer Co has acquired all coke stored at Bonanza and holds a good spring smelter supply. An air compressor for the Packer was recently lowered. The Packer mine is valued at about 1.9 million dollars and most small holders have sold stock at five dollars per share or higher last fall. J P Boyle remains mine superintendent with Francis over reductions.
