The Board of County Commissioners of Custer County Malta invites sealed proposals for newspaper printing for one year beginning January and includes all legal notices and election publications. The Board of County Commissioners of Custer County Idaho invites sealed proposals for one year of care and maintenance of indigent sick and dependent poor. Proposals due by the second Monday of January 18 percent. Bidder must provide food clothing beds medical care and a hospital or rooms. Bond required at twice contract price. The board reserves right to reject any proposal.

A. W. Middleton of New York describes plans to extend the Boise Nampa and Owyhee line northward as weather improves. He notes secured funding and partial surveys, with routes through Long Valley to Lewiston via Butte and Seven Devils, linking north and south rail networks and boosting agriculture, mining, and livestock in Custer County.
A governor proposes re enacting all laws from the past four sessions that have not been declared unconstitutional. The aim is to put life into statutes during the first days of the session by re establishing validity of laws later deemed invalid for procedural age. The legislature can then amend or repeal as if valid then.
