Cordial invitation to cure pneumonia with simple remedy

A reader claims a home inhalation method using alcohol and chloroform dramatically reduces pneumonia deaths. He cites Pasadena and Los Angeles reports from Feb 1908, advising 24 inhalations over 24 hours with cotton soaked in spirits, to expand lungs and cure within two days.

Bonds in Criminal Cases Proposed Bond Requirement Idaho Legislature

County Attorney Glennon urges a bill to require bonds in criminal actions. Justices of the peace may, and must on request by the prosecuting attorney before action starts, demand a good and sufficient bond from the complaining witness with two or more sureties, not above 200, conditioned that if the defendant is acquitted or discharged the prosecuting witness pays all costs up to the bond amount.

Mackay Gleanings Reports Scarlet Fever Cases

Three scarlet fever cases are at the home of Don Hurst in Mackay, with Maggie Byron and John Hurst also affected but improving as quarantine is to be raised Sunday. Frank Grotewald rushed from Spring Mountain on urgent business. The Criswell family has one case. Mackay’s telephone exchange nears completion and wood prices rise to seven to eight dollars per card.
