Death of Celeste Branca in Idaho a life of virtue
Celeste Branca of Bayhorse Idaho died of consumption at age 44 at the residence of Mr. Nick Johnson on the Salmon River February 4 1897. Born in Coenee Majola Italy November 23 1853 he came to America in 1879 settling in Eureka Nevada Bayhorse Idaho and married Missie Wilson October 25 1857. He left a wife two children and three cousins. elders recall his upright conduct and community respect.

In Lincoln, Secretary Edgerton rebuts Chairman Washburn alleging the Populist party will not abandon silver at 16 to 1. He accuses the Memphis conference of being dominated by middle-of-the-road elements and spies. He says Northwest Populists loyal to silver will not attend or be bound by its resolutions.
