Marathon Waltz Ends After 14 Hours Without Food or Water
In Butte Montana on December 8 officers halted a 14 hour 41 minute marathon waltz after several couples failed to eat or drink. Three couples were stopped by mayoral order on medical advice. Six girls were hospitalized including one with a ruptured blood vessel and another with muscular paralysis. The three remaining couples will receive the prizes planned for the winners, including a gold watch for men and a diamond ring for women.
