Australian Star blossoms by Luther Burbank

Luther Burbank names a never withering blossom the Australian Star and shows a year old bouquet in his Santa Rosa library. The rose crimson flowers, sometimes white, may revolutionize floral millinery as real blossoms on hats. He has no seed to sell though thousands write about the prospect. Next year the Australian Star is expected to bloom in many climates and needs no water to stay fresh.

Conductor Lane Dies After Years On Idaho Rail Lines

William Lane longtime conductor on the Wood River branch and later on the O S L main line died last week at Pocatello. He was well known in southern Idaho among rural and city travelers and remembered as a whole souled man who was highly esteemed.
