R N Hull & Co. take over Col Geo L Shoup's general merchandise in Challis. A series of arias notes include mine accident, mail stage return, new ditch contracts, stage from Burnett's station, and oblique obituary of a Custer resident. Religious reflections on death end the piece.
John Dudley, aged 60, died at his home near the Nevada Hotel in Cus ter Idaho on Thursday evening March 14 1907 at 6 o clock after a period of ill health. He had suffered stomach trouble and had worked in Eureka Nevada at smelting works. His death came as a surprise and his relatives are not known.
School report notes month ending March 22 with 97 percent punctuality. Star scholars include Elvira Campbell, Robert Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Willie Webb, Lawrens Hosford, Ruth Hosford, Ellis Baker, Josephine O'Day. Teacher unspecified. Visitors listed as 8.
A special examination for 2nd and 8th grade Teachers' certificates will be held in Challis on April 2 and 3, 1907. Marta Keenan, County Superintendent.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports C E Gable has gained control of the Golden Sunbeam mines at Custer after a long struggle and significant discoveries. The mine produced 380000 last summer and is estimated worth millions, with potential consolidation of adjoining properties and interests from rival groups including North Sunbeam and Bismarck Mountain.

John Mullen aged 63 died at Bonanza in Custer County Idaho on the night of March 26 1907 after years of miner s asthma and consumption of the left lung He came to the United States from Ireland at age two grew up in Brooklyn later moved west mining in Montana Leesburg Leon Creek Yankee Fork and Vishnu group quartz claims He held interests in the Vishnu group on Custer Mountain and in Black Hawks Mining Co stock of Seafoam Justice of the Peace A R Smith conducted funeral arrangements Interment was at Bonanza Cemetery March 29 1907 GuapPa Bonanza March 29 1907

Heirs or administrators of L Seigmund estate are notified that co owner will forfeit their interest in the Botte lode claim in Loon Creek Mining District Custer Idaho for failure to pay 25 dollars plus 15 dollar advertisement cost within ninety days after publication.
