Mrs Fidler of Harrison township is critically ill. Funeral for Mrs Catherine Fornoff set for Sunday at 2 from 4163 Fourth Street and 2:30 at German Lutheran Church with Rev M Tirmenstein. The Logansport and Rochester Northern Traction company asks the city council for a street franchise plan. They seek right of way on three streets plus options over others to enter Logansport via Michigan road or Davis bridge, with possible routes down High street or Sycamore street, and access on Sixth street.
The Pharos reports a skeleton unearthed by Joseph Buskirk, a well known farmer, along the road under the Eel River railroad bridge near Adamsboro in Adams township.
Neal Stewart a well known young man of the Nastend is laid up with a badly cut foot after stepping on a broken bottle during a ball game. He chased the ball into tall grass on the commons and sustained the injury. for a time it was feared he would bleed to death.
Relatives of Charles Martin are campaigning for his parole from prison. They are pursuing clemency and legal avenues to secure a pardon or early release.
Mrs Carter of Indianapolis will address a Lucerne Evangelical church gathering Saturday evening July 15. The event is sponsored by the Odd Fellows to support the Rebekah branch of the order.
County commissioners reviewed bids for a new county jail with three out of town firms and several local builders bidding. Stewart Iron Works proposed 310000 for the structure and 16000 to 16900 for iron and steel work while Pauli Iron Works asked 293000 for the whole and 15500 to 19300 for iron work. John E Barnes won brick and stone work at 9900 and A W Stevens secured plumbing and steam fitting. The total cost for completion was about 30000.
Attorney Geo. W. Walters filed a divorce suit yesterday for Amie S. Winkelman against John F. Winkelman. The couple married in May 1891 and the defendant allegedly deserted in December and has since failed to support the plaintiff.
