Education Board to Survey Rural Routes and Bus Redirection
The board of education met to plan a survey of rural route students and possible bus reroutes. A committee of Ernest Burker and M R Beach was formed to study rural students and reroute the Beachy bus on nervh and cart routes. A budget hearing for the Rittman schools was read and attended by Clerk Bessie Schumacher and others.

Final Fair Plans Near Completion At Creston
Plans for a two day Community Fair at Creston October 3 and 4 gather pace with forty five local business people assisting. The event features a Thursday carnival at the gym with side shows fortune tellers and more and a Friday minstrel show led by the FFA with a senior class plate supper preceding it. Exhibits span four divisions agricultural home economics flower show and hobby show with no entry fee and entries due October 2 to 3. Premiums will be paid after 4 p m Friday.

The group set fourth Tuesday as regular meeting night and planned a bake sale on October 5 and a gum make sale on November 29-30. Jack Coy described plans to introduce elementary music training with phonetic wind instruments for fourth to sixth grades.

In the absence of the Councilor Vice Councilor Clara Boling chaired the Daughters of America meeting with eighteen members and the lodge Deputy present. An inspection of the lodge is set for December 10. The captain asks Judge members and the Degree Team to attend the next meeting to practice for the lineup. Celesta Smith was appointed to lead the sales tax program. Melba Cochran won a pillow top donated by Mrs. W. Matz. Chances will be sold on a flower garden quilt and a luncheon set donated by Past Deputies. Refreshments were served by Mrs. John Hobell Mrs. C. L. Gordon and Mrs. Louis Shiffer.
