A 37 year old Rittman resident, Meade works as a receiving clerk at Packaging Corporation of America and leads Local 150 of the International Brotherhood of Pulp Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers. He serves as assistant Scoutmaster of Rittman Boy Scouts and is father to three sons. He lives with wife Lucille on Rittman RD and replaces John Hodovan on the board.

Local figures show about 9.4 percent of Wayne County residents 65 and older will qualify for the Medicare basic program starting July 1, 1966. The plan covers hospital care after a 40 dollar deductible, nursing home care for 20 days, and up to 100 home visits per year, with costs split between Medicare and supplementary plans. A typical cancer case costing 7263 would see Medicare cover 4477, with possible extra 1424 under the medical insurance option. Residents on Social Security will receive a 7 percent lump sum increase in September, totaling a local bonus of 274000 for eight months.

Mrs Mary Sllen Hile 71 of Toledo former Rittman resident died in a Toledo hospital after a long illness. She was a Rittman native with brothers Ben Bauman John Bauman and Noah Bauman and sisters Mrs Martha Beery and others. She leaves two daughters Edna Volpi and Pauline Bailey and a son Kenneth and a brother Joe. Burial was in Monroe Michigan.

Ernest Yockey dies at 73 in Shreve services held
Ernest Yockey age 73 of Shreve died Wednesday after a brief illness at Wooter Hospital. Services were held Friday. He was a 35 year foreman for the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of the American Legion. Survived by wife Vera Marie. three sons Curtis Dale of Shreve Elmer of Wooster. five daughters Florence Francisco Ashland Bets Hendrix Patsy Price Helen Taggart all of Wooster Monna Norris Mansfield. five sisters. 30 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Gardens Wooster.
