The Wooster Harris Paint ban tam football team opens its fourth season Friday at the fairgrounds against Summit County Home. Home games start at 8 p m under Moodlights with plans for eight home games against top northern Ohio bantam teams. The squad shows depth with most players from 1937 season available and last year’s crowd levels reached 2500 as bleacher seating was added. The Paints feature games with Cleveland Olympics and Cleveland Skippies, the latter whom they tied 19 19 last season.

St de Mans 52 year Mr and Mrs A P Feightner of St Louis dine at I E Fritz home on Labor Day. Feightner born here left town at eleven and recalls the town’s rise from village to city of about 3 000. He visited his mother’s grave in the old Ghinersburg cemetery and stayed at the Fritz homestead, with family ties. His father Tom Feightner was a former fireman at the Eliot Tyler Shop and now runs a machine shop in St Louis.

During a severe day, Marshal Charieg Heffelman shot a dog at Clarence Klotzly’s home in Paxkat to protect public safety. The dog lay partly paralyzed and foaming at the mouth. officials believed it may be a mad dog. The street department removed the animal’s body.
