Ford Sedan of Alfred Anderson Hit by Eastbound Train

Alfred A Anderson of south of town drove to town on Monday morning for business. On reaching the GL and W track he halted on the right of way and stalled while backing off the tracks. A westbound train struck the Ford causing radiator fenders and lamps damage with minor injuries to Anderson.

Death of Herman Friedt in Rittman area shocks community

Herman Friedt, a resident of Rittman for about two years, died Thursday night at 10 30 after a brief illness. A pressman for the Ohio Salt Co., he moved here with his parents from near Dundee and left a twin brother Howard and another brother Carl plus grieving parents. Funeral services were held at the Lehman home and Union Church near Smithville with a large crowd paying tribute.

Rittman Women Form Auxiliary to Wadsworth Hospital

About twenty five representative women from Rittman met in the bank director's room last Saturday to form a hospital auxiliary. Mrs. C Parkinson was elected president with Mrs. Fred Wella as treasurer.
