Mrs. Dale Boling of Rittman narrowly escaped death Tuesday when steering gear failed on route 224 in Western Star while driving toward Norton Center. Her car plowed through a stone wall creek and into a frame building, then back across the creek. She emerged with a wrenched back and was taken to Wadsworth for treatment.
