Two Poholski brothers aged 16 and 13 died from asphyxiation in a bathroom after a gas stove burned without venting. Found by their father at 9 30, both victims died despite medical aid. Funeral services were held at St Ann's church.

James Veney, Milton Township farmer, dies in car
James Veney, 77, well known Milton Township farmer, died Thursday afternoon while riding from his farm toward Creston. Found in his car near Creston, death is believed caused by a stroke. He resided on a farm between here and Sterling before moving to Creston. Survived by wife, two sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held Saturday from St. Ann's church with burial south of town.
