A white frame residence built by Mrs J C Landis in Rittman is due for completion next week on West Liberty Street. The first floor houses a combined kitchen dining room living room two bedrooms and a bathroom with an adjoining street-facing garage. The second floor is unfinished but could be split into two rooms. Heating is by hot air furnace and the kitchen features ample cupboard space with plaster walls. The home will be open for inspection on Wednesday.

An unknown person or persons entered the high school through a rear door with a small wrecking bar Thursday night. Nothing was taken though a small box with money in Superintendent Garver's office was not found.
Sterling Man Collides With Parked Car
Roy Wirth of Sterling was involved in a minor auto collision Wednesday at 7 p m on E Ohio Ave. His car door flew open and struck a parked car owned by Charles Underwood, causing front end damage. No injuries were reported. Marshal Heffelman investigated and Wirth agreed to pay damages.

Deer Hunters Return From Canada Trip With Three Deer

Model Gas Home inspection opens in Grandview
Fisher Agency reports 260 persons had registered by Wednesday night to inspect the model gas home in Grandview. Open for inspection Saturday through Monday, the partially furnished home features a complete kitchen, operating gas furnace and hot water heater, with guides conducting visitors.
Future Water Lines To Be Laid Separately
The board of public affairs reports a state health department ruling requiring water lines in Rittman to be laid in separate trenches from sewer lines. The advisory stresses ample horizontal separation to allow independent access for maintenance or repair.

Rittman Hunters Bag 12 Pheasants in Busy Hunt Near Findlay
Three Rittman hunters enjoyed success last Wednesday and Thursday near Findlay, bagging 12 pheasants in about four hours over two days. John Veney’s dog Pal is pictured with the group. A conservative estimate suggests nearly 190 Rittmanites joined the hunt, and Joe Sherrick reports about 30 residents shared supper Wednesday night at North Baltimore. Most hunters reported good bag limits with little difficulty.

Don Moore Involved In Car Accident
Don Moore of Rittman is jailed for driving a car without permission. The vehicle owned by Robert Wenger overturned and burned near Custard Hook around 1:30 a.m. He was arrested by Mr. Wenger and brought to Rittman by Marshal Heffelman. Several hearings before Mayor Baker occurred this week with no settlement yet and Moore sustained a cut above his eye.

Wooster Orrville football game draws near 2800 in attendance
Nearly 2,800 fans attended the Wooster versus Orrville game in Orrville on Friday night. Gross ticket sales reached about $870, funding the athletic association’s finances. The event proceeded largely as planned despite rain, with Wooster and Orrville playing to a scoreless tie. Orrville finished its season undefeated for the first time in 15 years.

Perry Adams 56 Sterling Man Dies After Short Illness
Perry W Adams 56 of Sterling died early today at Wadsworth hospital after a four day illness from a heart attack. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 PM from Sterling A B Church with burial at Seville cemetery. Adams was clerk of the Milton township school board and had worked 37 years as telegraph operator for the B&O railroad. Surviving are two sons, four brothers, two sisters, and other relatives. Friends may view the body at Ebert Funeral home until Saturday.
