Doris Lendon 45 died Thursday at Wadsworth Rittman Hospital from a heart attack. Born in Neffs Ohio June 12 1925 daughter of Russell and unknown Davis. Married Thomas K Lendon in 1944 lived in Rittman area. Survived by husband two daughters four sons three sisters two brothers and extended family. Funeral Sunday 2pm Murray Funeral Home Creston with Rev James Foster officiating. Burial in Rittman Cemetery.
The bloodmobile will visit Rittman on Monday, November 15, from 12 to 6 at the American Legion. To schedule a donation call Mrs. Arthur Bodager at 925 321. Walk-ins are welcome if you cannot make an appointment.

The Head Start program began October 25 1971 in Rittman via the Ashland Wayne CAC serving Wooster Orrville and Ashland with about 25 children age 3 to 5. Classes meet at Milton United Presbyterian Church with staff Mrs Clyde Moore Mrs William Workman aides Mrs Ruby Hale and Mrs Sylvia Workman. Volunteers welcome as the program unites family community and professionals for child development and offers aims from independent play to language growth and physical skills.
