Christ Hilty aged 72 died from injuries after being struck by a car Sunday at 6 pm in Rittman. Leonard Pelfrey 18, of Salt St Extension, was charged with reckless driving and released on $500 bond. hearing set for Nov 17 and pending manslaughter upgraded charge. Youthful Polio Victim Succumbs
Robert Thomas Wenger age 13 died Tuesday at Children's Hospital Akron after a five week illness from polio. He was born in Rittman an eighth grade student in Rittman schools and a member of Milton Presbyterian Church. Survived by parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wenger of Rittman three sisters Mrs Betty Doman Kalamazoo Mich Mrs Grace Wald Wadsworth and Virginia Wenger at home one brother Dennis Wenger of Wadsworth and grandfather Ira Shew Monroe Falls Ohio. Funeral services for adults only will be Friday at 2 p.m. Gillman Funeral Home with Rev D B Davidson officiating burial in Rittman cemetery. Adult friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening 7 to 9.

Rams B and O Train Car Collision Injures Two Youths
Two Creston youths, Kenneth Cline and Lawrence Gillespie, were injured when their car struck a B and O switch engine at South Main Street crossing at 11 p.m. Gillespie received facial lacerations and was treated by Dr. E R Alexander. Cline, in fair condition with facial cuts and a possible jaw fracture, was taken to Wadsworth hospital. Train crew O G Bishop and A W Esselburn said blinkers, whistle, and bell were active as the car failed to stop.
