Boxboard opens new warehouse in Ohio subdivision town
The Ohio Boxboard Co opened a new 350000 dollar warehouse this week and announced a weeklong vacation for about 700 employees in the Carton and Container Divisions starting next Monday. No. 2 mill will be closed five weeks for rebuilding directed by Ed Stent. The warehouse, built since last July, stores finished boxboard awaiting shipment. Weinstein Construction Co. of Akron was general contractor.

Memorial Day Parade and Cemetery Service Held in Rittman
The 33rd Memorial Day parade and cemetery service since World War I took place on Wednesday May 30 with Walter Keating as Officer of the Day. Floats included Lions Club Burger Motors Hudson Jim Hiles service truck and Studebaker plus three Rittman Fire trucks. Boy Scouts Cub Scouts Girl Scouts and Brownies attended along with other groups. A M Wenger led the gold star mothers cars. In the cemetery Rev D B Davidson gave the invocation and talks by Mayor Lewis Hoover W H Hauenstein County Commander John Hodovan and Walter Keating with Rev L R Patterson giving the benediction.

Edward Deitry gave her away. Louise Woyat was the attendant. Nuptial music by Mrs Carl Whitman with Mrs Donald Beery as vocalist. The couple went to Smithville Inn for dinner and a reception for 35 guests was held May 26 at the home of Mr and Mrs Willis Huth in Kenmore. The groom in the armed forces returned to Camp Carson Colo. The bride attended Rittman High School class of 1949 and works at Ohio Boxboard Co. The groom is a Doylestown High School 1949 graduate. Out of town guests came from Doylestown Sterling Rittman and Dalton.
