George Owen Dies of Heart Ailment in Florida Home
George R. Owen, 60, a former Ritt man resident, died Friday morning in Clearwater Florida after a heart ailment. Funeral services were held May 20 in Canton Mississippi with burial in Rittman. Surviving are wife Susie formerly of Rittman and a daughter Mrs. William Brinkman of Cincinnati, mother of Sue Rhodes.

The tenth annual Church Vacation School begins at the Primary School Building on N Main St. with courses for beginners through intermediates. The three week program ends June 20 with daily closings at 11 am. Pupils old enough for kindergarten may enroll.
