Friends of the Rittman Public Library Meet
The group met in the city building last Thursday where the steering committee urged council approval of an architect for plans and sketches. A membership drive was set with Robert Davis as chairman and dues of one dollar. A by law committee led by Mary Ethel Cummings was formed. Village solicitor C E Rhone mus explained levies for schools village and recreation to appear on fall ballots. Next meeting planned for May.

Fire at Greenbrier residence causes minor damage
Firefighters were called just before noon Monday to extinguish a small blaze in the Greenbrier home of C. J. Elkins. The fire started while Elkins used gasoline as a cleaning agent in the basement. Damage was minor.

Police News: Local Drivers Charged in Intoxicated and Reckless Driving

Edward C Poete age 63 of 63 Sheldon Ave died Friday evening at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital after a three month illness. Funeral Mass at St Ann’s Catholic Church conducted Monday. Survived by wife Mary daughter Lucille Reffert of Rittman a niece Joyce Yocheim three grandchildren and four sisters Clara Burger Cecelia Williams Matilda Goffinet Esther Nichter. Interment in Rittman Cemetery. Rosary at Gillman Funeral Home Sunday.
