Bank Receives An Anonymous Drought Relief Donation
The Rittman Savings Bank in Rittman Ohio on March 26 1931 received an anonymous donation to the Red Cross for drought relief along with the note Let not the left hand know what the right hand doeth. Cashier R J Krabil called it a very welcome modest gift and the most appreciated letter among several received.

Local Marriage Is No Longer A Secret
Coming as a surprise was the marriage announcement Sunday of Miss Frances Bender elder daughter of Mrs and Mrs John Bender of Ohioavy and Mr Adrian Jhokaon son of Mr and Mrs J P Jackson of Las Grange Ohio. They wed in New York state on October 11 1930 and kept it secret until last Sunday when the bride’s parents learned of the event. Mrs Jackson is a 1925 Ritman High School graduate and has worked as a stenographer while Mr Jackson attended Akron University and Ohio Wesleyan College and now works at Bingham Hardware Cleveland. Both are well known in Ritman and will reside in Cleveland after a visit with her parents.

Antique fence near Sterling road spurs road commission plea
In 1928 February 24 the broken rail fence near the Wright home on Sterling road drew notice from the Rittman Press. It still stands ragged with parts down and others up as cars risk a slide from the twenty foot bank at the curve. Wayne County motorists demand action from the county commissioners for a sturdy fence to protect drivers and workers at nearby Ohio Box and Ohio Salt facilities.
