Evangelistic Meetings at Church of God Begin April 5

Rittman Students Shine in Wooster Rating Event
Rittman students scored highly at the Wooster competition held last Saturday. Pupils were judged on score sheets and by a grade mode, earning ratings of superior and excellent. War rationing eyed for 1943 by Beckmann
State and federal officials plan broad rationing of key household goods in 1943 with War Ration Book One registrations possibly delayed to April. Sugar holdings under 11 pounds get stamps removed. 11 pounds or more block issuance. Ohio will distribute 8.76 million consumer ration books across the state as 9.27 million forms and 8.1 thousand instruction books go to rationing personnel. Registration for Rittman and Milton townships will occur at local elementary schools over a four day window yet to be announced.

Opening of Hugh L Strickland garage draws large crowd
More than 1,000 people visited the Hugh L Strickland garage on East Ohio avenue for its formal opening. The new 9,000 square foot plant includes modern equipment and fixtures and attracted visitors from Rittman and nearby communities all day. Door prizes went to Miss Helen Steiner Mrs W W Bodager and Mrs Robert Bauman. Carnations cigars and lollypops were given to attendees.

Funeral Monday for Twin's Mother Died
