Red and White dominate Wayne county tourney in Wooster gym

In Wooster last Saturday the Red and White team claimed the Wayne county championship after routing Shreve Hi 20 16 in the first round and overpowering Fredericksburg 34 14 and Big Prairie 37 12. Captain Kindig shone with superb dribbling and passing while McConnell and Kunkler led scoring with 28 points. The Rittman squad edged past opponents as Brodbeck and McConnell contributed key field goals. A violin display at Rittman Savings Bank showcased local manual training work by Edward Gainer supervised by Maurer, valued at 200 dollars.

Wells Sues Rolph for Damages in Car Collision Suit

Trustees of townships hold annual meeting

Trustees of all townships in the county met in the assembly room of the court on a Saturday afternoon. Engineer Os G. Leapley explained road grading and stated each township should grade approximately two miles of road annually.

Fire alarm called for grass fire on vacant lot

Fire alarm sounded last Saturday for a grass fire on a vacant jet area. Initial fears of rapid spread and property damage were reported but the blaze was contained without injuries or major losses.

Mrs C E Zeigler Dies in Wooster Hospital

Mrs C E Zeigler of Marshallville died Friday night at Kinney and Smith hospital Wooster after a long illness. Survived by husband a daughter two sons two sisters and four brothers. Automobile Crash on Main Street Involves Out-of-Town Driver

Sunday night on Muir street an automobile struck a parked car in front of Dr Tulaid's residence while occupants were at U B church. The moving car carried a Cleveland family and a seven year old girl slightly injured. Both cars damaged. Mrs Rolph improving after recent illness.

Wild eagle captured by two fishermen near New Smyrna

J C Young of Rittman and Lowia J Gigandet of New Smyrna grabbed a large six foot wingspan American eagle found entangled near the riverbank two miles south of New Smyrna after a tough fight. They carried the bird in a gunny sack to Gigandet’s home at 608 S Hillsboro where it will be kept until it can fly again.

Little Miriam Clppinger to undergo third operation

In Wooster Hospital Miriam Clppinger will have a third operation today at Wooster City hospital. The procedure is not expected to be as severe as the prior two, and she will not need to remain in the hospital. Her affliction does not keep her from moving swiftly and greeting visitors with a smile. When she recovers, these days will seem like a bad dream.
