Ex postmaster Roy E Faber was arrested in Cleveland on a federal indictment for stealing 5000 from a money package sent from Rittman to Cleveland. The post office was placed under temporary charge of Karl E Hoover as inspectors reviewed accounts and Faber’s motive and debts were discussed.

Infant Gordon Dies From Convulsions
Lucile Gordon infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Gordon died Friday from convulsions. Born January 1st she was about two months old. Short services were held at the Gordon home Saturday by Father Quimet of St Anne's Church and she was buried in St Anne's Cemetery south of Sterling.

Josephine Highland wife of Lorrie Highland died in a Wooster hospital after an operation on Wednesday. Funeral services were at the U B church in Rittman conducted by Rev D C DeHoa, with interment at Knupps Cemetery. She was 34. She leaves a husband two children from a previous marriage five brothers four sisters and many relatives.

Milk Truck Collision Near Lyons Bakery on Main Street
Louis L. Ockenhouser, owner of Lyons Bakery, was hit by a milk truck driven by Louis Gigandet on Main Street near the bakery Friday. The Ford suffered heavy front damage with one wheel demolished. Ockenhouser remained unhurt despite a quick turn from north to south after the impact.

Mrs Chas Means Dies at 41 in Wadsworth
Mrs. Chas Means sister of Mya Henry Lendy and Mrs Lee Fritz died at her home in Wadsworth on Tuesday March 9 after a brief illness brain fever ensuing from a heart attack weeks earlier. The 41 year old widow leaves a daughter and a son. Funeral services will be held at the Reformed church in Wadsworth on Thursday at 2 p.m. She was before marriage Miss Burns and lived in Sterling.

Walter Winter Dies at Home After Illness
Walter Winter son of Mr and Mrs Isaac Winter who lived near Chippewa Lake and formerly near Sterling died at his parents home Monday evening from Magholla disease and dropsy after months of illness. He had been ill since Ghistman and spent about two weeks in Barberton hospital. He was nearly 21 and had worked in a Rittman factory and was well known around Sree The Press.
