Orrville Man Named County Service Officer for Veterans
Roy E. Horst, clerk of the War Price and Rationing Board at Orrville, was chosen Saturday as Wayne County service officer to oversee all matters for veterans of the two World Wars and the Spanish-American War. Three Wounded Men Recovering In War Hospitals
Army telegrams confirm Ben Wenger seriously wounded in India Burma China theater on January thirty first and treated in Ledo Assam after a skirmish with a squad of forty Japanese. S/Sgt John Winkler, wounded at Metz on November 9, 1944, reached Kennedy General Hospital Memphis awaiting hand surgery and furlough. T/Sgt Herald Mougay, with a shattered knee and leg wounds from Belgium, is in Ward 15B at Schick General Hospital Clinton Iowa and expects six months of operations. The incident occurred with the 483rd Reinforcement Company.
