Preschool Clinic Draws Over Ninety Children From City

Parents and guardians brought more than 90 preschool children to a Wednesday clinic in Rittman. Volunteer doctors dentists and nurses from the PTA and PUPA examined for ailments while eye tests and dental checks were performed. Mothers were nervous but children remained calm as staff praised turnout and planned future clinics.

Safer Driving Campaign Receives Public Backing

Pioneer families urged for historical displays in Rittman stores

The Rittman Historical Society appeals to pioneer families to contribute items for displays during Wayne County Historical Week June 28 to July 4. Ten local stores volunteered display space, with two residents of Rittman slated to speak at the June 30 meeting.

Rittman Boys Attend Buckeye Boys State

Bob Burnett and Jim Hilty, Rittman representatives to Buckeye Boys State, travel Friday with W. D. Hilty for a ten day program at Camp Perry. More than 900 juniors from across the state will nominate elect and discharge duties of state offices while learning political functions and taking part in a recreation program. Alternates are Gary Black and Ivan Woyat.

Mrs Colville Dies at 82 After Long Illness

Mrs John Colville 82 died after a long illness. She lived with her daughter in Creston since January. Survived by four daughters and four sons in Ohio and New York. Services held at Marinsburg Church with Rev John De Chant officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
