Napier Loses Leg After Being Shot
Raymond Napier, 32, of North Seneca Street, had his left leg amputated at the hip after being shot during a scuffle on South Main two weeks earlier. Police say Napier shot himself in the leg during an argument with Delbert Adkins of Rittman, who faced a disorderly conduct charge and fine.

Services Friday for Augustus Beery 59
Funeral services will be held Friday at Gillman-Haines Funeral Home for Augustus Gus Geery of Sterling. He died Tuesday at his home on South Main Street at age 59. A life resident, he lived in Sterling with his wife Mae for nine years. He co owned Rittman Pleasant View Milk Co until sold to Smith Dairies. He had been a retail milk salesman for Smith Dairies and worked 21 years for Morton Salt Co. He was a member of Sterling Brethren Church. Rev James Young will officiate at 1 30 p m with burial in Rittman Cemetery. Survived by wife, son Donald of Rittman, daughter Nancy Himes of Seattle, two brothers Norman of Rittman and Lester of Marshallville, sister Naomi McConnell of Massillon, four grandchildren.

Infant Funeral Held For Wva Baby In West Virginia
Services were held Tuesday in Pritchard for the two day old son of Mrs Richard Perry of Rittman. The infant died Sunday at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital with Gillman Haines Funeral Home handling arrangements.
