Veterans Head to Camp Knox for Two Weeks Training

Six Wayne county war veterans traveled to Akron then joined 250 Northeastern Ohio peers for a two week training camp at Camp Knox Ky. Machine tool builders leader aids industrial code

Mr. Herman Lind, former Canton resident born near Middle Branch and Canton High School graduate, now represents the trade organization of machine tool builders in Cleveland. Joe Fritz Rites Held In Wooster County

Joe Fritz longtime Wayne County prosecutor and Wooster resident died after a long illness. The Rittman native born in 1849 practiced law since 1899 and served as county prosecutor. burial occurred in Wooster with Odd Fellows and family paying tribute. Survived by four sons Irvin Fritz Lee Fritz and two daughters Mrs Katie Marsh and another.

Walter Gatehouse Ends Own Life in Sherman

Walter Gatehouse, a Doyle town native and son of W. O. Gatehouse, shot himself Saturday afternoon at Sherman after a period of ill health. Born in Doylestown and educated at Chippewa township, he was a Doylestown-area graduate, Lutheran church member, and nephew of Thomas and James Galehouse of Rittman. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill cemetery with Rev. G W Ditmar officiating. pallbearers included John Rifse, Norman Rifse, Ned Sharp, Kenneth Baysinrer, Charles Gimmerman, and Ralph McKinney.

Elderly Doylestown Woman Fractures Shoulder in Fall

Mrs Ellen Collier 75, a Doylestown resident, fell at home last Saturday and fractured the upper end of the left humerus. She was treated by Dr Hardgrove, then moved to Barberton for X rays, and Thursday was brought to the home of her daughter Miss Alla Collier in Rittman where she is cared for.
