About 200 gathered Friday at the Lancetown school grave between Rittman and Sterling for a reunion. Officers were elected: President S. M. Zeiwler, Secretary Mrs. Amanda Fixler, Treasurer Peter d. Liechty. remarks by J. W. Steiner and Rev Reuben Kratz. Notables from Seville, Chippewa Lake, Akron attended. Next reunion is the first Friday in June 1916 at E D Fhebinger’s home.

A S Petit Loses Another Valuable Horse
A. S. Petit’s team of horses became entangled at a railroad crossing west of town and one horse broke a leg after a runaway incident. The animal was shot by Petit. This marks his second valuable horse lost this summer. No train was involved per report.

George W Hershey obituary in Rittman area dies at 74
George W Hershey of Wayne County passed away at his home on Wednesday June 24 at age 74 years 8 months 2 days. He left a large family and was a longtime livestock dealer and farmer known for honesty and cheerful disposition. Funeral services were held June 27 at the United Brethren churches in Rittman and Baston with interment in Rittman Cemetery.
