Queen City Chapter Hosts Eastern Star District Session
The twenty third annual session of the Fourth District Ohio Order of Eastern Star met in Lorain on January 19. Mrs C D Coffman was elected Treasurer. Local attendees included Esther Bruny Hattie Sigler and several other chapter members. Next year’s session will be in Ashland. Rittman Chapter 529 GES meets January 27 with initiation of candidates led by Esther Bruny and Fred Stocker.

Lt Emmet Musser Sends Note From Bomber to Family
Lt Emmet Musser dropped a note on his parents doorstep from a two story bomber while on a homeward furlough. He piloted the four engine craft from Charleston and earlier circled Rittman in December. His mother was in Massillon Hospital, and his sister witnessed the note.

Mrs Mabel Householder 23 of Doylestown entered a formal not guilty plea to a first degree murder charge for allegedly smothering her 22 month old child in their home after a 10 day jail hold. No bond is allowed on this charge. Attorney Raymond W Humpherey filed the plea. Rights and court dates pending grand jury schedule.
