Weaver Home Burned In Wardsworth Tragedy
Fire gutted the home of James H. Weaver in Wardsworth early Tuesday. Weaver’s mother wife and two children escaped from a second floor balcony or first floor exits with minor burns. Firefighters battled the blaze and saved the property though losses are estimated at about 10000 with 5000 insured and contents around 1000.

Fire at Shook home causes floor damage and gas leak
A fire at the J SEL Shook residence on Balt.81 damaged the floor and warped the six foot area near the stove valve. Neighbors reported smoke as a man attempted access, but the occupant was not home. The blaze extinguished with gas valve hazards noted by responders.

Murguls Bond After Raid Near Marshalville
John and Mike Murgul released on bond in Cleveland after arrest in a raid two miles north of Marshalville. They were taken to Wooster jail, arraigned in federal court, and await grand jury action. Separate action: James Perle held after raid on Hershey buildings. fined 50 dollars after pleading guilty to selling intoxicating liquor. Local sheriff and federal officers investigated stills, but no further arrests.
