Benjamin Yudelevitz and Ori Yudelevitz have leased the Pastime theatre from Carmichael. The new managers plan extensive remodeling starting Monday for improved comfort vision and entertainment. Shows continue Friday Saturday and Sunday this week.
H J Albrecht is elected president of the Fred W Albrecht Grocery Co and Acme Stores succeeding his father Sir Fred W Albrecht. He vows no change in policy and notes experienced management will run operations while father’s retirement proceeds. The board emphasizes strong finances, ongoing store expansions, and stability across departments with Ivan W Albrecht as vice president and treasurer and Walter J Buehl assisting.
A joint session in Wooster with county Board of Health members discussed expanding nursing services for Rittman residents. Mr Carver praised the local health nurse and urged immediate test nursing access to protect children’s health. The board planned to realign districts and consider a part time nurse to serve Rittman and surrounding areas.
The United Brethren church invites all to Sunday School at 9 30 Morning worship at 10 30 with Keeping The Heart and 6 30 Christian Endeavor Evening service at 7 30 with The Whole Armor of God The victory anniversary of the 18th Amendment will be observed Friday evening in a union service at 7 30.

Daniel Latz died December 23 198 at Sears aged seven months and nine days. Son of Margaret and Hans Latz he spent early years on a farm southeast of Ratt. He was preceded by one sister Eddie and survived by relatives including Dewi Teatters John of Sterling Ticod of Niceon and Mrs Hern of ues Kasten along with many friends.
The board met in regular session to outline this year’s work. Plans include planting trees and shrubs, pruning grounds, and enhancing flower beds. Crews will maintain the sods, transform old meters, and improve the pond area and burying grounds. The effort is entrusted to community members with welfare for the town.

The program includes orchestra and hymns, Onward Christian Soldiers, scripture, prayer by Rev Nelawonger and Rev Hendrickson, offertory, songs, readings by primary school children led by Mrs Harpster and Rosemary McGee, violin solo by Woodrow Harpster, an address by Rev McGee and benediction.
Apple Creek hosted the Past Commanders Banquet with Vice Commander MetCaw announcing Wayne County’s 363 members this year, placing fourth in state percentage. The event featured remarks on widows and orphans benefits and veteran care, with calls for policy changes on gas rates and veterans’ healthcare.
Mrs Derhammer and Mr Earl Perhammer welcomed about 30 relatives who arrived with baskets for a gathering at the hike home last Sumdes around 12 o'clock. The group spent the afternoon and evening in conversation and shared meals. Mia Lieshammer plans to leave for Kansas Cl in the bear future.

Melvin Gardner died Tuesday noon after a transfusion from Melvin Brodbeck failed to save him from poisoning linked to a gangrenous appendix. He was 21 and employed by the Ghia Rosbeard company. The funeral is Friday at 9 oclock at St Anns with Rev Mechler officiating. Burial will be in St Anns Center. Pallbearers include Bernard Goffinet Zatvets Hammer Ceotype Lebert Pant Surman and others.
Arthur Cullen and Kath M Dougherty announce their engagement following a private announcement at a Whe Di supper. The couple met in St Louis while Dougherty attended Convent and Washington University. Cullen attended Washington University and is a head at the Rittman factors company. The bride elect is the daughter of Mrs Ethel Mc Cullen of Forsythe boulevard. The spring wedding is planned.

Neal Miller of Canal Fulton died Tuesday. He had lived in Canal Fulton since 1929 and was buried there this afternoon. His widow survives, and he had worked for 10 years prior to moving to Canal Fulton.
John Wenger and companions Dek Fisher Quoine Hoamer Sterling fished Killbuck area. Fisher and Flasmer split their shares with the Wengers who will eat well with four families fed and two more provided for. January 14 noted though details are unclear.
The regular monthly meeting of the W. M. S. of the First Brethren church was hosted by Mrs. Joe Brown on North Second Street. Mrs. E. O. Franks led prayer, Miss Blanche Hoover led devotion. A luncheon followed. twenty five members attended.
Dave Rakosh, former star third baseman for the Rittman baseball club, was buried in Netts Ohio this week. He had worked at the Ohio Salt Co. four years ago and was known for his time with the Rittman team.
