A clerk and carrier civil service examination will be held in the big gohaol Building in Rittman next Saturday January 16 at 9 16 oclock. Five will be taking this examination. Jen's stylistic up-to-the-minute sprice.
A garbled notice describes a Saturday afternoon mail delivery, with patrons who call in the forenoon to be served. It mentions an injury to a man named Storm, who is not in serious condition but is handicapped in his work around the garage.

Mrs. H. 3. Squibbs hosted two card clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. The Wednesday club was entertained, with Mrs. A H Thomas and Mrs. Ed Brophy winning prizes on Tuesday. Friday club also met with guests. Mrs. W. Ritter and Mr. W. Swarts helped hostess. Mr. Squibbs served charming hostess duties.
The obituary notes the death of a former employee after a long illness. A child born on Thursday died that Saturday, with valvular heart disease listed as the cause. Arrangements are underway for the family, including mentions of Mel and Me Winsheimer and Mrz at Jaee J Bteviewan.
The grand jury recently convened indicted eleven persons with public indictments. One case involves Merlyn Smith against whom criminal charges were preferred by a young woman weeks earlier. He remains in county jail awaiting bond.
