Ashland College Gospel Room unit touring Pennsylvania during Christmas vacation will start services Friday at Brothers church on North First Street Rittman Ohio. The Gospel Team captained by Arthur Petit Ashland junior will arrive Friday in their Gospel Car Ford. The team has visited over 20 churches since September and is preparing for revival meetings next week. Petit plans missionary work in Kentucky after college.

Knights of Pythias in Wayne County marked the orders sixtieth anniversary with a Wooster meeting on February twenty first. Deputy W H Hardgrove led the event and about 176 attended from across the county including a third from Rittman. The program featured the Rittman Orchestra, vocal solo by Miss Thelma Sherrick, an Apple Creek speaker H G Jameson, piano by Miss Maude Wallace, a Damon and Pythias story by Harry Crow, plus cards dancing and refreshments.

Tragic Wreck Claims Ravenna Area Family
Sunday evening at 7 30 a Pennsylvania train struck an auto three miles east of Ravenna killing Lorene Swigart her husband and their three year old daughter instantly. The family resided near Freedom Station with no witnesses to the crash and their identities were initially unclear. Their deaths raise the regional railway toll to 21 in five months across Summit Portage and Wayne counties. A Swigart relative had recently worked for John Branigan.
