Oldest resident laid to rest in Milton township
Funeral services for August Gof finet aged 92 were held at St Ann's Catholic Church. He lived in the Milton area since childhood, was a farmer, and a 73 year member of St Ann's. He celebrated his 92nd birthday January 23 and is survived by two daughters, four sons, 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Burial followed at St Ann's cemetery. He attributed his longevity to pipe smoking and daily wine in a later interview.
