Blood Drive Seeks 200 Donors March 5 in Rittman
A local drive to enlist volunteers for March 5 reached two thirds of its goal with 139 people signing up to donate at the blood bank. The committee, aided by fourteen women making hundreds of calls, appeals to the public to call the committee or city hall. Indians Begin Tournament Trail Monday in Buckeye League Play
The Rittman Indians plan a Monday start to the tournament trail hoping for a win to face the Wednesday victor on Friday. The schedule hinges on Sunday’s meeting and final results will be posted at Stepfield’s Drug Store Sunday afternoon. Last weekend they split with Loudonville 96 66 and lost 62 58 in overtime to Wadsworth. Rich Williams led the offense with multiple baskets and the team hopes for a Buckeye League title unless Orrville breaks the tie.
