Man Breaks Leg Boarding Freight Train
Jacob Linn a former Rittman resident now living in Wadsworth fractured both bones of a leg between the knee and hip while attempting to board a B and O freight at Sterling. Dr Dawson gave first aid and sent him to an Akron hospital for reduction and treatment. Linn had been visiting Sterling relatives when the accident occurred as he attempted to leave on a local freight missing a step or being thrown from the car.

Deuell Wins Judgment Then Loses Counterclaim in Wooster Case
In Wooster common pleas court William H. Deuell obtained a $400 judgment against Lléweilyn Steiger for hay payment. Steiger counterclaimed $1,224 and the jury awarded it, leaving Deuell with a net judgment of $24.

Brotherhood Holds Entertainment Fellowship Supper at Mt Hermon
The Mission Presbyterian church class of Mt Hermon held a Fellowship Supper on Feb 9. Probation Officer Seeks Care for Abused Boy
Probation officer Hevington of Wooster reported that a 10 year old boy was left alone at home while his mother Mrs Mollie Johnson worked at a restaurant. The child suffered from tonsillitis and conditions at the home were unsanitary. The boy was removed to be placed where proper care could be provided.

The monthly Parent Teacher Association meeting drew a large crowd. Teachers and pupils from Main St presented dramatizations and art lessons, earning praise for high quality work.
