Former Rittmanite F J Jones Dies In Florida
Fr ancia J Jones 73 father of Al Wert T Jones of Rittman died Wednesday at Fernald Staugaston Memorial Hospital in Sanford Florida. Born in Staffordshire England in 1865 he left for Canada then the United States arriving in Rittman in 1906. He worked as a millwright foreman at Ohio Boxboard Co and built homes on Sterling Ave before moving to Florida in 1920 to grow citrus. He made a 1904 trip to England to oversee paper making unit installation for Black Clawson Co. in Hamilton Ohio. He is survived by four daughters and three sons.

Mrs. Alex Thom received a cable from Scotland telling of the death of her youngest sister Miss Mary Gow at St Margaret's Hope Orkney Scotland. Miss Gow had been only a short time. Another sister Mrs. Anne Norquay of Australia plans to visit Scotland in May. Miss Gow was an aunt of Miss Betty Gow who was nursemaid for the Charles Lindbergh baby.

Mayor Roy W Baker announced the Rittman Recreation Board of Control will have 12 members plus three City Council members. The group will coordinate with the Board of Education and use First Street high school gymnasiums for four and two nights weekly respectively. A summer outdoor plan includes a merry go round, parallel bars, and replacement of the children's slide, with summer supervision proposed and costs estimated at 240 dollars monthly.
