Drivers Cited After Series of Local Accidents
Six Rittman men were hospitalized after three serious crashes reported to Rittman police. Paul Wilson Brown 22 arrested for driving while intoxicated after a foggy one car rollover on County Road 504 near Rittman. He rode with George Holiday 26 and Donald Ault 18. All three from 157 Fredrick Street sustained minor injuries and were treated and released. Additional accidents on Salt Street extension left Russell Ellis Joe Minder and John Taylor of Route 1 Rittman with minor injuries. Ellis cited for reckless driving after a rollover crash. Walter Meades of South State Street, driving while intoxicated, damaged Rich Motors on East Ohio and State Streets and received a $100 fine plus three days in jail.

Services were held for Mrs Hattie Louise Swartz 18 of 91 South First Street who died Sunday at Wadsworth Hospital after a short illness. Packaging Sales Jump After Merger Of Three Firms
Packaging Corporation of America reports six month sales of 69.7 million ending Dec 31 1959 up from 62.5 million for the combined three pre merger companies. Net earnings reach 3.36 million or 85 cents per share. Expansion includes a 2.5 million Lancaster Pennsylvania plant and a 30 million Tennessee Pulp and Paper draft mill in which they hold 52 percent.
