COMMANDER JOAN J TYILSON of Howard A Bor Post 428 trained as an electrical worker for 16 years recalls a strangest sight a helper seared by electricity during trouble shooting on high tension lines. Born November 26 1896 in Marion Virginia he served in World War I and later worked as a lineman power house and electrician before starting his own shop in 1929. He moved to Rittman in 1926 worked at Oluo Salt Co a year and became commander on September 21 succeeding HHW Straits, dedicating himself to Legion community projects.

Two Men Killed in Auto Crash Near Park Street
Two men, Sayko andYerosh, were killed when their walking group was struck by a car driven by Leon Park of Hatherton at 7 p.m. on Saturday near Park Street. The driver said he did not see them and that the victims were on the road's right side with their backs turned. A double funeral service was held Tuesday at A Te Mbert Funeral Home with burial in Rituman Cemetery.

Telephone Pole Damage After Truck Collision Saturday
Fred X Karpofs, driver for the Cletgland Lumber Co., backed his truck into a street pole at Salt and 3 Mate 818, snapping it at ground level. The pole fell across the corner in front of the Viuld trader Shop, delaying service to several lines. The driver was held but released after agreeing to cover all damages. several lines and phones were out until Wooster crews restored them by Sunday afternoon.
