A long damaged account describes Friday evening ceremonies in a new public school building. Teachers and local officials presided as the auditorium lights framed a musical program by the high school choir and orchestra. The open-house event drew community members eager to inspect the facility despite missing the planned address.
Public officials and contractors gathered to dedicate Rittman’s new school structure praised as a modern community center. Speaker K P Warner lauded the town for its up to date facilities including a model heating and ventilating plant an auditorium of 350 chairs and extensive classrooms and laboratories. The event praised the collaboration of inspectors county superintendents engineers and the board of education.

Lazarus Basinger pleaded not guilty to assault and battery stemming from a Salt works incident. bound over to grand jury under a 200 dollar bond. Martin Murray admitted intoxication and disturbance, unable to pay 500 dollar fine and costs, returned to village jail. Michael Inkeneh, chased and captured after a Chippewa bottom chase, found guilty of disturbance of the peace with 10 dollar fine and costs. half paid, released. Joe Jane arrested for intoxication, fined 1 dollar and costs. Several juvenile cases heard. one discharged, another sent to school.
K C T M district manager F J McBride of Cleveland will visit Chippewa Tent 527 Rittman on February 3rd. The event invites Sir Knights and families to hear McBride discuss Maccabeism as a home protection and benefit. An oyster supper will follow, free of charge.
The event at the new Rittman school opened with remarks by J F Hanes and an intro by My Comnedima. Mantove entertained the audience with clever impersonations and humorous, intense performance, inviting dissatisfied listeners to seek explanation from Tom.
