342 County Farms Sending Milk to Bordens in Akron
Wayne County dairymen shipped milk to Bordens branches in Akron, boosting farm revenue. Bordens bought 20,423,337 lbs of milk in the first three quarters, costing 704,890.25 dollars, up from 16,580,319 lbs valued at 466,164.30 dollars in the previous year. Boyes Faces 2nd Degree Murder For Stabbing Son
John E Boyes, 53, of Snydertown, is charged with second degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his son Emmett Boyes, 30, during a December quarrel after a night of drinking. He admits the act, is jailed in default of $10,000 bond, and the case will be heard by the January grand jury in Wooster. Emmett died en route to a physician after being stabbed in the groin with a butcher knife in the doorway between the living room and kitchen. The family man was from Rittman, a Cleveland construction worker, married with no children, and among 17 siblings households. He would have turned 31 on December 31.
