Rittman Area Schools Close For Holiday Break
Rittman schools will close for Christmas and New Year holidays with the Init class Friday and resume Monday morning January 6. The longest vacation for many years includes Sterling and Marshallville schools dismissing Tuesday. A special Christmas dinner will be served in the cafeteria Tuesday at noon for 10 cents.

Fire at Youngs Home Basements Fire Quickly Extinguished
A basement fire at Mrs Edith Young 39 S Main St was caused by a pile of woolen rags used with furniture polish. Firemen arrived within minutes and extinguished the blaze with chemicals. no major damage reported. Mrs Young and a companion were upstairs when the alarm was raised.

Creston Man Buried At Jackson Presbyterian
Funeral services were held Saturday for 81 year old Frank Gomnat who died at his Creston home on Wednesday. Burial followed in Jackson Presbyterian Cemetery. Former Rittman resident Mr. Gomnat left a daughter, Mrs. Walter Morrison of Akron, and a sister, Mrs. John Petit of Rittman, surviving him.

Services Friday for Kirkpatrick Suicide Victim
Feneral services will be held Friday at seven thirty p m at the home of Paul M. Kirkpatrick in Sec ond for Robert E. Kirkpatrick who died from a self inflicted shotgun wound Tuesday morning. Coroner Adair and Marshal George Morgan outline a theory of the death. The decedent aged about sixty six had been in poor health and operated grocery stores in Galt and Rittman. He is survived by his wife Mabel and two children Mrs S D McMillen of Lakewood Ohio and Paul of Rittman. Burial will be at Harrisville Pa. with A L Shert in charge.

One hundred seventy haldara of stock in the Farmora Dairy Pro ducta Co. of Rittman met in Branigan's hall to elect three directors for a three year term.
