Ray Hartzler appointed village clerk by Mayor John W Baldwin to fill the unexpired term of H BE McCracken who resigned to move to Memphis. The Ohio Attorney General Thomas J Herbert ruling stated McCracken was ineligible as a nonresident at election time, leaving the office vacant. Hartzler will then serve the remainder of the term and the full term McCracken was elected to.
