The present village council, whose members’ terms expire December 31, held its final meeting Monday night. The next regular meeting will be the first Monday in January when new members assume duties. The Victory Park matter remains unchanged. An ordinance to issue 6000 in bonds for park purchase was given first reading. Council delayed further action awaiting developments likely to affect the park requisition. Several bills were paid. the C B and Ry light bill for November was held for itemized hours of lights used. The council seeks to verify persistence of outages. The village’s financial condition at year end 1919 is better than in years past due to rigid economy. about 2000 remained in the corporate fund, with 1600 transferred to the sinking fund to cover a 1500 note at Rittman Savings Bank. If state taxes relieve districts, Rittman may end 1920 in better shape than predicted.
