Wayne County Treasurer Attempts Self Destruction
Wayne County treasurer Elton Franks attempted to take his own life Monday morning by slashing his throat with a razor. He was found in Franklin township and rushed to Kinney and Smith hospital in Webster where he is receiving treatment and expected to recover. The treasurer’s office reports his books are in good condition and his duties may resume once he is fully recovered.
