Junior Edwin Blatti six died after being struck by an Oldsmobile driven by John Ruffener of Smithville. The collision dragged him over 100 feet in front of Glessner's restaurant. He survived by parents Alvin and Mary, one sister and three brothers. Funeral at U S Church of Sterling.

State Road 94 Opens Through Rittman Amid Route Improvements
State Route 94 is now in use with resurfaced pavement and a 30 foot width, extending toward Wadsworth. Noble Long born October 18, 1908 son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Long died December 1, 1987 at the family home after four weeks of illness. Funeral at United Brethren Church conducted by Rev Roy Clayton Starn with a quartet performance. Survived by parents two brothers two sisters and grandmother Mrs Catherine Long. Interment at Knupp Cemetery. Noble served in the US postal service and attended Rittman schools. Death came unexpectedly after his mother left his bedside.
