Members of Friendly Circle Club enjoyed Monday evening at Mrs. Stanley Tyska’s home on South Main Street with games of chance and a luncheon served to Mesdames Jennie Anshutz Vera Howell Ruth Tyska and Madeline Tyska. Next meeting plans a Christmas exchange at Mrs Howell’s East Ohio Avenue home. Mary Wald of Mercy Hospital Canton visited her parents and was escorted to the nurse training school by her parents and Mr and Mrs Charles Wald. Harold Schiegel, grandson of Mrs Etta Clark, is training in Georgia. The Eberts hosted Thanksgiving with relatives from Cleveland Wooster and Doylestown including Carol Glorene Stanley. Rittman pays tribute to slain Lieutenant Commander Pavlic
The Rittman community mourns with Mr and Mrs Pavlic over the death of Lieutenant Commander Milton Pavlic in the South Pacific. A Navy telegram announced the loss Sunday noon. Pavlic, 33, graduated from Rittman High School, attended Case Institute, and joined the Naval Academy via Congressman McSweeney. He had a long career from ensign to lieutenant commander, and he is survived by his parents wife two children and six sisters.
