Attempted Robbery in Rittman Ends With Capture

A short man with a heavy mustache entered Hanes & Hoover in Rittman and demanded money after a water request. He fled to Alex Dostal shoe shop, where he broke a window but was captured by Dostal and others before stealing. August Delesi of Cleveland confessed a Cleveland crime pattern and was bound over to the grand jury after a mayor's court hearing. He claimed to have a wife and seven children and suggested an alleged accomplice, though authorities doubted the tale.

Doylestown Youth Dies Suddenly in Village Home

A Doylestown young man named Alpha Whitman died Saturday morning at his parents home. He was son of John Whitman the mayor of Doylestown. Report says death due to hemorrhage after a brief illness. He was brother of Commissioner J M Whitman and of Mrs Tre Toff.

Institute plans form two committees for 1915 event

Last week the Press noted an executive institute committee led by Ernest McConnell and four others. The Chamber of Commerce formed a second group including Hanes and J. J. Fisher to assist with halls, programs, and entertainment for the January 22nd and 23rd, 1915 event.

War Revenue Stamps On Sale In Local Town

Revenue stamps required for many purposes are on sale at Rittman Savings Bank the post office and Ene railroad station. More locations may sell them but only these have been reported. A schedule detailing where stamps are required and denominations arrived late for this week's publication.

Public Notice Extends Train Service to Worcester

In order to accommodate patrons attending various theaters in Cleveland, Train No. 59 will extend to Worcester with departure from Cleveland at 11 20 PM Eastern time.
